Frequently asked questions
My level progress was lost. How can I recover it?
Your progress is tied to your Game Center account and stored on our servers, so it survives deleting the app and switching devices. If your levels suddenly show as incomplete, it almost always means the app couldn't sign in to the same Game Center account it saved them under. To recover it:
- Open iOS Settings → Game Center and make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you played with before.
- Fully close KindaSorta and reopen it. Your completed levels sync back automatically after sign-in.
If you're signed in with the right Apple ID and your progress still doesn't come back, send us a general message with your Game Center nickname and roughly how far you'd gotten — we can look it up on our side.
A level seems unsolvable! Are levels checked for solvability?
Yes. Every level's deal is run through an automated solver before it's published: the solver plays the layout with full knowledge of every card and must prove it can be cleared. Move budgets are sized from those solver solutions, and reshuffling the stock is unlimited, so no level ships that can't be beaten.
That said, a level being winnable doesn't mean every line of play stays winnable — burying a title card at the wrong moment can dead-end a run. If you get stuck, use the restart button (circular arrow, top right) to replay the level.
If you're convinced a specific level is genuinely broken — or a word seems filed under the wrong category — submit a game correction with the level number and we'll re-verify it.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app, go to Settings → Delete account. This immediately and permanently removes your profile, gameplay records, and leaderboard scores from our systems. See the Privacy Policy for details on what little we store in the first place.
